The footpath between Redstone industrial estate beside the South Forty Foot leading along to London Road pumping station is (and has been for at least a year) a complete disgrace. It appears to be used as either a regular drinking spot or a general dumping ground and is in need of a major clean up.
The whole of the underpass is also heavy with graffiti, however, although untidy, it is not of such a public health and safety risk as the piles of broken glass which litter the area.
This is a busy area for pedestrians, including children and dog walkers, and also provides convenient access to Somerfield for local residents.
Interestingly, this is in direct view of the new multi-million pound waterways link-up, so should be a nice introduction to the town for visitors!
The dumping / littering is also very prominent on the opposite side of the drain, on the bankside running along Wyberton West Road.

Updates
Under the bridge HAS been done (although more litter is already beginning to gather) – However, the opposite bank side (running adjacent to Wyberton West Road) is still littered with (sorry to say this) Eastern European beer cans and cigarette packets...
