Dangerous pothole outside Corsham's Springfield Centre

Staff at the Springfield centre told me they had seen a driver lose a tyre going over this pothole outside the Springfield Centre in Corsham. Inches deep, I can see how that happened. This may not appear a busy road, but the local facilities bring a lot of visiting traffic. Could this please be made good before more damage is done?

WCC acknowledged this problem on 17/02/2009, and advised that a report had been raised with the Chippenham Area Highways Office.
