Excessive potholing

For years now, we have had to endure potholes on our lane. The council says it is a "private road with public access"?? Subsequently they refuse to repair the roadway.

The situation with the road adjacent to my property remains a "Private road with public access" and as such the Council will take no responsibility for the maintenance of its construction, yet expect the local occupants to maintain it for public usage.
