Since well before Xmas the pavements in both Chesterton Road & Golborne Road have trecherous paving slabs lifting around trees which dislodges adjacent stones putting pedestrians at severe risk, especially in the dark . I did complain about one particular problem which got lost in the system and was never registered and the work not done till weeks later. It seems that noone in the RBK&C Council has responsibility for monitoring these lifting pavements. Their negect puts me and many disabled/blind/elderly residents at extreme risk. Add to this that NONE OF THE PAVEMENTS WERE GRITTED AROUND HERE FOLLOWING A PREDICTED SNOWSTORM AND I WONDER WHAT THE COUNCIL IS DOING FOR NORTH KENSINGTON RESIDENTS SOMETIMES!

Updates
The lifting paving stones are still lifting along Chesterton and Golborn Roads. This is a recurring problem which the council seems to be turning a blind eye to...nobody from the council has bothered to contact me regarding progress or plans to rectify this ongoing problem! So blind, disabled and unsteady elderly folk still remain at high risk! NO APOLOGY OR EXPLANATION FROM COCKELL REGARDING THE DISGRACEFUL LACK OF GRITTING OR SALT DURING THE WELL-PREDICTED SNOWSTORM EITHER!! HE MUST BE MADE TO EXPLAIN AND APOLOGISE SOON.
