Updates
There was impressively quick action to fix the problem reported on 2 February. Alas more of the road surface has broken since then, and further attention is now needed.
Some major patches have been made to Richards Road at the upper end. Prospect Road above where it joins Myrtle Road has been very poorly patched and remains a hazard to cyclists.
Most of the upper part of Richards Road has been resurfaced as part of traffic calming, but towards the bottom of the hill above Havelock bridge the road surface, which has been clumsily repaired is still not in git state.
The road between Heeley Green and Prospect Road has been properly resurfaced. Between Spencer Road and Myrtle Road it remains in poor condition for cyclists given the gradient of the hill.
