No through road

Reported in the Road traffic signs category by Mrs D Wilde at 20:04, Sat 24 January 2009
Sent to Bury Borough Council 1 minute later

Cars are constantly driving down Roach Street which is a dead end with nowhere to turn round. Consequently the cars are then reversing back and we have had our wall hit twice in the past year. The existing sign at the top of the street cannot be seen by traffic both ways so is it possible for a more visible sign to be erected advising motorists that it is a dead end.

Apologies! I have marked the problem as in the river! The blue marker should actually be at the top of Roach Street as you turn off Manchester Road.

Although the problem hasn't been fixed we apparently did receive a visit from the council who did not think there was a need for a another sign at the top of the lane.We have now erected another sign, at our expense, in the hope of stopping cars driving down.
