Small truck left in close

I am a resident in Penfold Close off Ford Road,Arundel; a small narrow close with parking allowed down one side. We now appear to have a truck,not taxed, which has been parked/abandoned in the Close for nearly 2 weeks, the truck has not moved, it isn't locked and the telephone number on the side is a Bournemouth/Dorset number, not local. The truck has been reported to the police by another resident but they state that they can't move it, and suggest that the DVLA do occasional checks in the area and will eventually check it out and remove it. This is a private residential Close,with narrow access, we don't wish to have old trucks dumped here. Would appreciate if you could investigate this matter.

Pleased with prompt response from Council explaining they were already aware and had notified the DVLA who were planning to act but as the Council response explained this sometimes takes a while. Eventually someone arrived and after a long time got the truck running it appeared that they knew someone living in the close, obviously it had been left there deliberately. Altogether pleased with your response and the Council's - not so sure I would have got such a quick response from a phone call or e-mail to them. Thanks for your help.
