Speeding

I live in Nyth Y Dryw on Lon Canol (LL59 5TH).

I have serious concerns about the saf ety of my 2 year old now he can run, and for all other residents on Lon Canol.

The problem is that vehicles travelling from Llnadegfan and down Lon Canol are generally driving at excessive speeds. It is a 30 limit, but cars are driving at speeds far higher than that. Our house faces the road, and although we are very good at keeping the door locked so that our son can't wander into the road, I am really concerned that when the door is open, he will run out into the road, unaware of the grave danger.

All residents in the area have similar concerns. pulling out of driveways onto the road is hazardous, and there is an accident waiting to happen.

Because it is a wide road and down a steep hill, it gives the impression of safety to the drivers, who are probarble speeding without being fully aware of their speed.

I would like to see a sign at the top of the brow of the hill that lights up telling road users how fast they are going. I am sure they would then apply their brakes.

Many thanks for listening.
