Recurring potholes in Stakenbridge

Reported in the Potholes category by Nicholas Hall at 19:11, Sat 3 January 2009
Sent to Worcestershire County Council 4 minutes later

As was apparent when the previous potholes were "fixed", the quality of the repair was poor, and the potholes have developed again.

This time debris thrown up from the holes by cars has put a hole in my car headlight. The replacement cost £150.

A proper repair would be appreciated this time.

The council have visited, and marked the potholes with paint. Unfortunately. the paint has now washed away.

They visited another time, marked up the holes and repaired some different ones.

They have assured us by phone that the whole seam will be replaced properly, but I'm not holding my breath.

The pothole was finally filled in mid-February. Nothing to do with FMs or reporting it to the council.

The hole got so big that car went down it and smashed its suspension. The driver called the police & reported it as dangerous and it was fixed within two hours!!

To add insult to injury, the council have now completely resurfaced two side roads in the area that were in better condition to start with, and get about 1% of the traffic that this road gets.

I seriously wonder why I bother to a) report problems or b) pay my taxes.
