Now two cycle posts have been removed leaving holes in the block paving.

Both cycle posts have been removed, presumably for safe keeping & not replaced thus leaving holes in the block paving.

I happened to pass this location on 11 May 209. There are a number of alternative cycle posts/racks to use in this specific location. I did notice however that people tended to secure their cycles to the metal railings rather than the cycle posts/racks! Is this because experience has taught them the cycle racks are insecure?
