This problem is old and of unknown status.
Frequent fly-tipping
Reported in the Street cleansing category anonymously at 09:23, Tue 18 November 2008
Sent to Brighton & Hove Council 1 minute later
I have reported this previously and no action has been taken. As a consequence more and more rubbish has appeared. The area is a car park close to industrial premises, and the rubbish is accumulating to the rear of our building near a fire exit. One of the adjacent buildings has a cctv camera which probably takes in the area of tipping.

Updates
Nothing has happened; no reply, no response, no rubbish removal.
Following numerous phone calls and emails, the council has concluded that the problem lies not with them but the landowner - having confirmed to me some weeks ago that THEY are the landowners....
still nothing has been done. The car park belongs to a building called the Agora which, i am told, belongs to brighton & hove city council.
Received a reply (to email of 15.12.08) from the council today, apologising for the delay in responding. The rubbish has still not been cleared. Insurance assessors have told us that this is both a fire hazard and a potential environmental health issue.
informed local fire brigade who inspected the site & will report
Now worse than ever before. Council appear disinterested, despite the fact that it is apparently on their property.
Still no action; I think they hope I will just forget about it, though they may have trouble explaining their apparrent indifference to their responsibilities should any of the local arsonists discover it. I'd have thought they would welcome an opportunity to justify the crippling rate of council tax.
Hello there, Have you tried contacting a local councillor. You have a green party member, in your area alex. youe can contact her on her email alex.phillips@brighton-hove.gov.uk, only suggest her as she is a green party member, and may have a specific interest in this issue? The councillors used to hold drop in sessions at vallance community centre also, it may be worth popping by there for info too. Good Luck!
