Terrible soil erosion/misuse of landscape

Alongside the pedestrian pathway beyond the Post Office/convenience store, there is on the small grass covered hill parallel to the path a very serious soil erosion problem. Despite loads of useful paths everywhere close by, this cut'through path is wearing the hill down substantially and when people use it or when it rains, soil and stones easily fall onto the main path below causing a pile of soil to build and cause obstruction problems/bike punctures if little flints on tarmac from loose soil. Please can this worn hill be repaired, with renewed soil plus new grass and a means of preventing people from abusing it any further. A path is just not needed there. Thank you.
