On-going issues on Northcote Street Lane. The Council needs to gate off this alley. Period. It's an absolute disgrace. Heroin users in the abandoned Bowling alley often pop out and inject in the lane (just ask the local garage owners - one of which has moved away because he was so fed up with the problems), repeated barrels of engine oil dumped and poured everywhere, fly tipping all over (as soon as it is removed, it re-appears within days). Rats run wild at night gorging on the dumping. Plus drug paraphernalia is left lying around. Last week two cars parked in their drives off the lane had their windows smashed in. My partner will not venture down the lane at all, even in the daytime. Even the Police steer clear of it - I have called the Police on numerous occasions in regard to disturbances and, instead of walking down the lane, they arrived via Richmond Road. I asked why, and was told that they would 'rather not walk down the area at night when there is only two of them' - Brilliant. Something serious needs to happen with this area and soon.
