Lots of potholes
Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 11:45, Fri 16 November 2012
Sent to Wiltshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 291164.
As reported previously back in May (replied to by Wilts council on Ticket Number 235350 saying they would only be repaired within 3 months because the holes were "only" 70mm deep) there are loads of potholes on both sides of the road which are getting more extensive each week. It's on a dangerous part of a very well used route where the road narrows and people try to avoid the potholes by veering into the path of oncoming traffic. It isn't helped by the passage every 30 minutes of the Stonehenge Tour double decker bus and other large lorries using it as a rat run to avoid the wonders of Salisbury's traffic system. Location is Phillips Lane on the road around the area of Urban Energy barn at the bottom of the hill from Old Sarum. If a repair was done last time it was not adequate. This needs a proper cut out and resurface repair doing to withstand the run-off of rain water from the hill and not just the usual dollop of cold tar which is usually gone within a week of rain. There is also another set of holes appearing a hundred metres up the hill from here before you get to the sharp corner.
