Wet leaves on dark pavement - hidden potholes

The pavement along West Grove heading from Newport Road to the Parade is very dangerous for pedestrians. A thick covering of wet leaves has left the pavement very slippery. That, coupled with the darkness which results from the street lighting being blocked by other trees, means you cannot see where you are walking, and whether you are walking in deep potholes, puddles of an actual, albeit rare, section of flat pavement. Please can someone at least clear up the wet leaves so that you can see if your standing in a pothole as some of them on this stretch are very deep.

still very poorly lit and the condition on the pavement is very poor and uneven. The leaves are less deep than previously, but still causing a problem. The issue is the fact that you cannot see where you are walking and therefore cannot see dips, ridges and holes in the pavement.
