Flooded pavement & junction
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Mike P at 10:26, Tue 19 August 2008
Sent to Leeds City Council 4 minutes later
When it rains there is a large puddle adjacent to the pedestrian crossing area. The water is coming from the school area/hedge area and floods across the road. A sump/drain/stank needs to be dug/installed between the hedge and the pavement. Icy conditions occur during winter months.

Updates
The usual 'auto-response' from Leeds City Council. It will be pursued.
As always the Council are "looking into it." I will chase them and suggest that 8 weeks is long enough to assess the matter. << Watch this space >>
Promises from The Council that someone will investigate and let me know their thoughts / send a report.... nothing received. It's far too mundane for anyone to investigate. << Watch this space >>
Obviously the Council are far too busy to look into this situation. << Watch this space >>
I think the time has come for this to be sent to The Local Government Ombudsman, LCC still have neither contacted me nor fixed the problem. << Watch this space >>
No one has been in touch. I'll raise again and mention this report which dates back to Aug 2008. << Watch this space >>
Still no contact from LCC re this. I guess it's one destined for The Local Government Ombudsman. << Watch this space >>
I'm waiting for the next rainy period so I can restart this report with a photo or two. << Watch this space >>
Now we have some rain, it might be a good time to take a photo or two to illustrate the point. << Watch this space >>
I'm still waiting for the opportunity to take a photo or two after some rain. I can then lodge a new complaint and make reference to this ongoing matter. << Watch this space >>
Blast.... I didn't manage to get to the site during the last period of rain. I'll make an effort next time it rains.
There is a promise of rain tomorrow, I'll try to get a pic or two.
Still floods here when there is a light shower. A new problem will be placed on FixMyStreet. << ongoing >>
Well at long last some protracted activity. A drainage trench has been dug and connected to a main drain. The trench has been filled with loose rocks about the size of a large grapefruit. I'm waiting to hear/see of the first time one of these 'grapefruit' are used as a missile. Why weren't the rock in metal cages as seen on motorway embankments? Caged rocks are a safer option.
We need to wait for a decent downpour to see if the sump works.....
Still waiting for a decent amount of rain to check out the sump + drain.
