Gravel on bend
Reported anonymously at 13:10, Mon 17 September 2012
Sent to Cheshire West and Chester Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 278506.
Gravel is being deposited on the road from the private driveway that joins this part of the road. There are significant deposits of gravel and stones making this corner very hazardous.
To make matters worse, this is not only on a corner, it is also in a dip, the gravel is right in the centre of the dip and corner, so any vehicle/bicycle/motorcycle going over it will likely have built up some speed.
I know for sure of one serious injury here, a cyclist broke his neck when he slipped on gravel at this point in the last 2 years. The road has since been resurfaced, but it's now clear that the gravel isn't being built up from the road itself, but being put there by vehicles exiting the nearby private driveway.

It appears that at least once in the last few weeks the gravel has been swept up, but it's a short term fix. Already gravel is yet again being dragged out and dumped from the nearby access road to the (I think this is the name) Old Hall Farm.

I stopped to help a cyclist that came off on the gravel again here today, his face was badly cut and his bike damaged, he couldn't ride and had to walk home. I know of a number of other accidents here, please fix it before we get the 'big one'.
