Car parking by Farncombe post office

There are almost always vehicles parked during weekdays outside the post office; I think it is double yellow lines there but I'm not absolutely sure. I feel it is getting worse lately. The parking restrictions appear not to be enforced at all, and it creates a mess to try to get past. People wanting to turn onto Station Road when the level crossing gates are shut often drive up the wrong side of the road past the queue of waiting vehicles, I don't know if this is legitimate or not but it happens and is made more hazardous if they are passing a number of parked vehicles as well as a queue of cars waiting for the crossing gates to open.

Farncombe Street does have double yellow lines along it. People use the excuse that they are just popping into the post office, but that means the street is constantly blocked, which is extremely dangerous so close to a level crossing.

Sorry - just checked. There are single yellow lines with parking restrictions between 0830 and 1830.
