Obstructed pathway

I have recently found travelling on the pavement alongside the humpback bridge (that crosses the old rail line at Bradley Fold) a hazardous ordeal. It was necessary for me to cross the road TWICE at each side of the hump because greenery overhanging the pavement at each side made it unpassable. Having to cross at either side of a humpback bridge on a 40mph road is unnerving, particularly when on bikes with children as I was. Cutting back the greenery would greatly be appreciated.

I understand that this may be quite low down on the list of priorities of the council but even so, the private homeowners whose garden overgrowth makes walking by the roadside hazardous should be held responsible. The council should cut back the ivy and brambles that cause pedestrians to walk on the road and send them the bill..or dump the cuttings on their front path to restrict their walkway!!
