Dirt bikes on Eglywsilan Common

Not reported to council
Sunday, 25 May 2008, 3 to 5 pm I parked my car at the north end of Eglywsilan Common and went for a walk. A minimum of three dirt bikes were zooming around the Common, nearly knocking me down at the Trig Point (Bwlch Carn-y-Gelli) -- very dangerous because there was thick fog. When I returned to my vehicle, it had been heavily sprayed with mud and rocks, presumably kicked up by the dirt bikes' spinning tyres. The left front indicator was smashed, my windscreen was peppered with chips, and my bonnet suffered bad dents and scrapes (to the bare metal). The sign on the Common prohibits all motor vehicles on the Common, but this is blatantly ignored. This is a very dangerous situation, and it has caused significant damage to my car. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Updates
I spoke to Caerphilly Police, and to the Caerphilly Countryside and Landscape Service people; both of whom, especially the latter, were sympathetic and took down all the details. The Countryside Service people especially wanted these sorts of situations logged.
