Flytipping & lack of signage

Reported in the Flytipping category by PAUL RUTHERFORD at 17:00, Thu 22 May 2008
Not reported to council

I reported a while ago that the end of Acreage Lane after Prospect Drive is prone to general litter accummulation and fly tipping. This is because it is the end of a tarred road going into bush. The tarmac is breaking up and the litter accumulates and this generates fly tipping. We have a pile of carpet tiles now dropped off on the 20/05/08. We need a barrier and end of the road signs put up so people cannot drive up to dump their rubbish without being seen.

Apart from an acknowledging email from my first complaint nothing has happened.

Apart from some fly tipping being removed the site remains as first complained about. If it is not upgraded then it will remain a collection centre for wind blown rubbish and fly tipping.
