New Footpath Sign Stolen
Reported anonymously at 14:37, Fri 3 February 2012
Sent to Barnsley Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 229508.
A new metal post and public footpath sign was erected by the Council. Two days later, someone broke half of the finger pointer off that indicated the path across the farmers field to the rear of Souhtfield Crescent. I have a picture of the damage. Around a week later, the whole sign, three footpath fingerposts and the post were removed from the site. Now the farmer has blocked the access with large concrete sleepers (15 feet long).

Excellent communication and promise that it would be replaced, but still has not been.

Despite promises that it would be replaced, it is still missing. I am beginning to wonder if it is worth rerporting anything at all.

Sign still missing and concrete slabs across the public footpath despite assurances from the council that it would be rectified.
