Dangerous Road Deterioration

Reported in the Potholes category by D Bruce at 15:56, Wed 7 December 2011
Sent to Doncaster Borough Council 4 minutes later

Over the last few years this section of Scawsby Lane has become narrower due to road edge corrosion. There is no footpath along this side of Scawsby Lane and the potholes are very bad in some places, and due to the amount of heavy goods vehicles that use this road, they have got worse.

When driving on this side of the road towards the A635 and being approached by an HGV coming in the opposite direction a driver has to be very careful not to hit these potholes, at the same time avoiding the HGV's which tend to cover the width of the other side of the road. Grass verges creeping on to the road don't help either as they tend to 'mask' the potholes.

I urge DMBC to look into this matter urgently before there is a bad accident.
