Damaged railings
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by sam scrivener at 22:18, Thu 3 November 2011
Sent to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council 1 minute later
In July 2011 damaged railings adjoining the footpath were reported to the council via this site
The railings have still not been fixed and are now held together precariously with (now rusted) electrical cables at a four foot height that is ideal for falling onto a childs head, they are heavy steel railings
If they fell off they would hurt very young children that go to and from the primary school. The railings are outside the main school entrance.
It has been five months since the original report - WHY HAS NOTHING BEEN DONE TO DEAL WITH THIS FAIRLY STRAIGHTFORWARD FIX AND THIS MATTER SEEMINGLY IGNORED PLEASE

On 22 nov I received the following reply
The damaged railings on Whalley Street near the Junction with Troy Street have been passed to the Reactive Maintenance team at Capita to deal with as they are not adopted by Highways.
