Chobham Bridge Railings Woking

I am a regular visitor to Woking as my girlfriend live there. I have noticed that for the last two years at least that the paintwork has been peeling off the metal railings of Chobham Bridge over the Basingstoke canal.This looks awful and is not a good advert for the town for visitors. Is is not about time that Woking Borough Council and Surrey County Council got together and stripped and repainted these railinsg again in gloss black? It would make such a difference.
