Speeding Motorists

Reported anonymously at 16:25, Thu 10 April 2008
Sent to Copeland Borough Council and Cumbria County Council 4 minutes later

While one side of the village has speed humps, the village main street has no deterent against speeding motorists. There is now an increasing problem of motorists who appear to think they are above the law and treat the legal speed limit with contempt. This is a residential street and I think the time has come for the council to take action before there is a serious accident. The police do mount radar checks on entry to the village, but I have yet to see any speed check being carried out concentrating on vehicles travelling along Main Street.
