Dog Fouling
Reported in the Dog fouling category anonymously at 11:00, Mon 26 September 2011
Sent to Basildon Borough Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 204549.
There is a pathway at the bottom of Summerdale that leads through a small children park/play area and out onto The Avenue. Over the last couple of months the amount of dog excretment has increased dramatically. There is a council dog waste bin provided but it seems a couple of dog owners cannot be bothered. Can we have some more signs along the pathway to highlight this filthy and very distressing problem. It is a very well used walk through and I`ve noticed people are treading in the mess which will worsen as the nights draw in as there are no street provided. Thanks.

Very satisfactory service - the alleyway concerned was cleaned and disinfected the day after I reported the problem.

The problem has reduced greatly - I pinned a few posters on fences from the Keep britain Tidy Org.But there will always be the few who just dont seem to care.

On the whole people are cleaning up after their dogs. Unfortunately there are still one or two people who do not bother.
