Sunken road surface

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Robin Dyer at 20:43, Fri 8 July 2011
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council 1 minute later

Travelling West from Aberdeen just as the speed limit changes from 30mph to 40 mph there is a sunken track across the road where the road has been dug up to connect the speed limit signs. There is a distinct thump as the wheels travel over this piece of sunken road caused by whoever dug the road to connect the signs.

  • I had a communication from Aberdeenshire council re this but nothing has yet been done. The sunken bit is just as bad as a pothole in my opinion.

  • It was fixed this week. Between Monday - Thursday when I last travelled past.
