Street Lights covered by Overgrown Trees

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 10:25, Mon 16 May 2011
Sent to Bexley Borough Council 5 minutes later

Footpath 118 used to be well lit but now it is quite dark despite the fact that all street lights are working. The problem is due to the overgrown trees around the lampposts. As the Home Office statistics show this particular problem often encourage crimes like mugging. As a local resident I would really appreciate it if the council could have the leaves cut.

  • The overgrown trees were trimmed today, 27/06/2011. It turned out those trees belong to the railway not Bexley council however the council contacted the railway so they came to solve the problem.
