Broken glass around play park

Hi, the play park at the back entrance of Lochside Primary School, and the area around the Medicine Well has been targeted by vandals, who are in fact primary school aged children, recently and there is a lot of broken glass in the area.
These kids are also doing their best to break the equipment at the park and constantly ‘wrap around’ the swings so they can’t be used by the young kids who would get enjoyment out of the park.
Recently my pregnant wife challenged two boys who she seen vandalising the park, while she was holding our two year old daughter, and was informed by one of the boys that he was away to get a knife and come back for her, charming but unfortunately he’s not been back when I’ve taken our daughter to the park since.
We’ve reported this incident, and the dangers of the broken glass to the Police over two week ago but to date nothing has been done so perhaps some community wardens being visible in the area or the council taking this up with the Police would be a better course of action?
Kind Regards,
Andrew Mudie

Council dealt with this within a couple of days, I received an instant reply from the council access line then a detailed follow up from the head of the parks dept in Montrose. My wife also received a visit from two community wardens at our house shortly after.
Very happy with response.
