St Thomas slipway Ryde has been blocked for the last 2 weekends by a mobile elevated platform which has no license plate or tax disc. Trailers are unable to access the beach to launch boats, which is their right on a public slipway, and the coastguard and emergency vehicles are also blocked. I understand it is the responsibility of the local authority to ensure free access is maintained you are failing to do this as can be seen in the photo I have supplied on this website.

Updates

  • This particular vehicle may no longer be parked on the slipway but this problem is ongoing as I have just reported similar problems here. The council and/or police to not appear to be competent enough to act to protect public safety.
