Dog Mess

Please please please can something be done about a number of dog owners who are letting their dogs mess on the pavement along St Luke's Avenue and NOT picking the mess up. There should be a bye law whereby if a dog owner does not have plastic bags to pick the mess up they should be prosecuted because that means they will just leave the mess on the pavement. If a young child gets dog mess in their eyes there is a REAL possibility the child could be blinded by worms that dogs carry in their intestines. I am sure that if we lived in Broadstairs Thanet Council would have done something about this matter but once again nothing is being done.

This is against the law and Thanet Council wardens need to give the culprits a fixed penalty notice for dog fouling which is a fine so call TDC on 01843-577000 and chase them up.People who do not clean up after their dog can be given a £50 on-the-spot fine. If they refuse to pay the fine, they can be prosecuted and may face a court appearance with a maximum penalty of £1,000. Registered blind dog owners are exempt from penalties.
