Please note that a vehicle which hasn't a current VED disc may be kept legally on private land (i.e. not a public highway) if a "SORN" declaration is made to the DVLA. Cheryl Holman could've checked the vehicle's VED status online at http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?origin=vnav_bar.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry . I have just done so, using the details in her report - and found that the vehicle is taxed until 1 July 2011.
