Broken road surface and potholes
Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 19:22, Mon 3 January 2011
Sent to Edinburgh City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 150725.
Glengyle Terrace in Edinburgh has a very eroded surface, with the old cobbles now showing through newer tarmac repairs right along the street. In addition, there are a couple of recent and very nasty potholes to contend with.

This took a while to sort out. Whilst the street has been patched it is clearly a quick fix - untidy puddles of tarmac hastily dropped and rolled - it won't last.

The road edge along the southern side has completely degraded and wheels will now drop alarmingly into holes when parking. The edges are very sharp and will easily cut into tyre edges - probably on the unseen inside edge!!

Thanks Graham - as my original problem was marked as "fixed", I've lifted your text and raised a new issue on the site which will be sent to the Council.
