Sent to Breckland District Council less than a minute later
The above vehicle has been parked outside the property (social housing - Peddars Way) for the last THREE years without moving. The vehicle cannot be driven, all four tyres are flat and one of the front lights has been vandalised. This car is making parking really difficult for others in the restricted area around the three properties which share that parking area. It makes parking difficult for the owner occupier next door and for her visitors. It may possibly be on a SORN but the car is just a wreck with moss growing on it and weeds growing around it. I realise it is a Peddars Way problem but they continue to do nothing about it despite complaints.

This problem is one which has been made known to the Council twice this year. It requires input from their Social Housing partner Peddars Way Housing but just becuase Breckland have out sourced social housing doesn't mean they shouldn't assist when Peddars are doing absolutely nothing. I am certain that the DVLA did not intend for SORNs to be used for totally unroadworthy vehicles to stand on what, for the other tennents,is a road for FOUR years without being moved or any attempt being made to make it road worthy again. It is deliberate attempt to ensure that the owner keeps most of the parking space for themselves.

I am really disappointed that this vehicle is still causing a nuisance. It is not possible to drive it as it has 4 flat tires, the engine no longer works, it is covered in moss and weeds have grown around it. The owner told Peddars that she wants to get roadworthy but has not done in all this time. I don't believe it will ever be roadworthy again as it would cost too much. However, it seens that it does,t matter to Peddars or Breckland Council that this is causing such a problem for others. I feel really let down.
