Chippings and recurrent contracts for Patchy road works.

For over the last 4 to 5 years we have been experiencing a substantial amount of chippings on our street, particularly from numbers 10 to 35 Mansfield Avenue, N15 4HW. This has been always the case whenever Haringey Council calls in contractors to repair our street. Apart from the nuisance the chippings represent, there also exists the risk of hitting a pedestrian, scratching cars or even breaking a window when cars pass by and go over the chippings. We don't see why we have to keep bearing with this situation. Why have the contractors not cleaned the chippings after they have finished? Does the Council care about it? For the evidence we can see everyday, it looks that they don’t! In addition, it is time Haringey Council stops making contracts with companies who merely do a patchy job so that they have a secure job in the near future as the holes on the street keep appearing like mushrooms all the time. We want quality not patchy work roads that only cost more to the tax payer. Thanks for your attention. Residents of Mansfield Avenue.
