Broken Street nameplate, Anita Avenue, DY4 7XH
Reported in the Street nameplates category by Steven Edwards at 15:08, Thu 26 August 2010
Sent to Sandwell Borough Council 1 minute later
On Sunday night, due to what I can only assume was a vehicle breaking the speed limit by at least 10mph, left the carriageway near where I live and smashed through a bus stop, some safety railings around a mini-electricity substation and finally, our road name plate on the corner of Anita Avenue where it joins the A4033.
All credit to Centro who have been out to our location pretty sharpish (less than two days after I reported the problem) to sort out the bus stop. Unfortunately the road name plate and the railings around the mini electricity substation remain in a bad way. I daresay the railings are the responsibility of E-on whilst the road name plate is Sandwell MBC's responsibility.
Can you please get Sandwell MBC and whichever utilities company are responsible for the railings in question to come and put in some new railings and a new road sign (one of the legs on the current plate is snapped in-two)?
