Ramp needed

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Danielle Allen at 09:36, Tue 24 August 2010
Sent to Newcastle upon Tyne City Council 3 minutes later

Walker bus terminus next to the TA centre on Rhodes Street needs a ramp for disabled passengers as there is no way for wheelchairs to get onto the island where the bus stops to get on the bus. I witnessed an elderly gentleman trying to get onto the island in an electric wheelchair. He had to take a run up to it and bounce onto the kerb, very nearly ending up on the ground. He had already had a problem with a pothole a few yards away and had fallen to the ground trying to free his chair.
