Infested with rats

The estate where I live is infected with rats. They are in the area of Audley Linear Park. I have seen 4 (no not the same rat) in the past few days. They seem to be congregating near the rubbish bins at the flat complex at the bottom the the path leading up to the canal. Phone calls to the Council have I have been told by residents have been made but the Council do not seem willing rid the area of the problem. I am concerned as my dog has been seriously ill on 2 previous occasions and my vet has suggested that he may be ingesting rat urine which he sniffs up when on his walk which can be deadly in some cases and I have no choice but to pass this area when I walk him as I live on this estate.

Hi After contacting several people in the Council I finally got to the person responsible and hopefully the problem will be solved. The person I spoke to did not seem to be aware of previous phone calls made by other Residents which does seem to be a problem with Blackburn Council as I've come across this before. Lets wait and see if the problem gets sorted
