Criminal activity in narrow alleyway next to Great Cambridge Roundabout

There is a narrow alleyway at Great Cambridge Roundabout. It is right next to the Chinese Take away shop. The people who work in the shop appear to be there all night without seeing the outside. The alleyway is dangerous place to be. It is the only entrance to Kendal Avenue. Quite rediculous to leave such a spot for criminals. " A narrow alleyway, very easy to trap innocent people ". It used to be a little more of an open space before they built iron bar fences on the low wall there. It was built to prevent teenagers from the local shcool sitting on the wall and smoking cigarettes and may be drugs. Although school children made their way to the wide gardens of the council flats right next to the alleyway, comfortably sitting there and smoking whatever, the alleyway became more and more dangerous. Criminals can easily trap and have been trapping people there. This is not widely heard, perhaps because people are scared to report any crime happening there. That is perhaps because the criminals are teenagres younger than 18 and perhaps local. That makes them untouchable! They cannot be arrested by the police! Most of the time there are a few people with hoods on their heads waiting for something around the phone box which is placed at the entrance of the alleyway. These are mostly teenagers. On the top of all that, when a criminal activity occurs, police admits that the camera in the middle of the road, seeing the alleyway, is actually not working. By the way, the cameras placed in the underpass of Great Cambridge Roundabout do not function properly as well!!! How fool we are believing that all these cameras will record the moment when we are attacked. Non of the cameras there work!!! The cameras only make nice and warm nests to the spiders who are nicely fed with the flies around there. People who live there must be vigilant all the time. That is the only way you can protect yourselves. It happens once in a while may be. But when it happens it hurts a lot!!! Please be careful innocent people! You are not protected !!! Hopefully the council and the police will at least fix the cameras issue. It will probably not be possible to make the alleyway passage wider before anything really serious occurs there.
