No road markings

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:36, Mon 9 August 2010
Sent to Hackney Borough Council 4 minutes later

The centre line and many of the double-yellows along most of Manor Road have worn/weathered away or been erased by repairs and are no longer clearly visible. This makes it hard for drivers to judge whether they are properly in their lane, and encourages illegal parking. Markings have not been repainted for several years.

Still no road markings

Sort this out! It is a hazard for drivers!

So, they repainted the double yellows - just the double yellows, not the kerb markings, single yellows, bus stops, centre line, zebra crossing zigzags, etc. There's one bit between the St Ann's bus stop & a zebra crossing where they have neatly painted a 2-foot stretch of double yellow, and left everything else. I suppose we should be thankful for small mercies, but it really is the height of jobs-worth to be the man who paints the double yellows. "Sorry, guv, I'm not allowed to do singles"
