Incorrectly Placed Facing Lights

Reported in the Traffic lights category by Anthony BrookWalker at 16:01, Sun 25 July 2010
Sent to Enfield Borough Council 4 minutes later

The traffic lights at this junction are incorrectly placed. When waiting on a red light the lights on the opposite side are facing away from you. This means that if you are at the front you cannot see the light change. This issue has existed since the lights were replaced.

These lights are badly positioned, causing delays and safety issues as it is impossible to tell when to turn right until the cars speed towards you from the side. The phasing of these lights allows too much time for pedestrians to cross and severely limits traffic flow. Queues as a result of this poor traffic management often stretch back to Chase Arm hospital on the Ridgeway.
