Cycle lan markings on Ilderton Road SE14 no longer visible

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Dean Ashton at 12:00, Sun 25 July 2010
Sent to Southwark Borough Council 5 minutes later

The cycle lane markings on the small hill on Ilderton Road (cnr Stockholm Road - near the entrance to the Millwall FC football ground) have become degraded over time, to the point where the cycle lane is not very visible and ignored by most of the drivers. The road is very narrow at this point in the road and losing the cycle lane makes it very unsafe for cyclists.

Can the cycle lanes please be repainted so drivers know to leave space for cyclists?

Thanks Dean

No, the problem is still not fixed. Quite annoying as recently a car nearly knocked me off my bike on this street - when he should have been aware to be careful as it was a bike lane

Bike lane markings repainted and cars now generally respect the space needed by bikes on this part of the road. Thank you, very much appreciated!!
