Sent to Enfield Borough Council 3 minutes later
We are seeking your help in dealing with a problem, which over the years has developed into a major (BLACK SPOT). Children crossing to use the parade of shops in this locality run the gauntlet between cars emerging from Bury Street West, Crawley Rd & Delhi Rd EN1, during school days.
From 7.30am motorists approach this intersection jockeying for position, causing chaos in all directions. We would like to suggest for your consideration, Delhi road & Crawley Rd are turned into one-way roads, either entering into Delhi Rd or exiting out of Crawley Rd.
We look forward to your response.

The holidays will soon end, and this junction will be back to pandemonium!
We hope somebody from the council sees our plight!
Dear Residents,
A road or junction with fewer than 5 personal injury collisions in a 3 year period is unlikely to be considered for our road safety programme. We consider a minimum of 3 years to ensure the sites we treat have not suffered an unlucky spike in collisions that could disappear of its own accord the following year. As a further guide the site currently top of our priorities for safety improvements in 2011/12 had 11 personal injury collisions in the last 3 years. The severity of casualties can also be a factor in prioritising sites.
I appreciate the above sounds like we are waiting for people to get hurt. However with a very limited budget I would be hard pressed to justify treating roads or junctions where there have been few casualties over those where there have been many.
Kind Regards,
Liam Mulrooney Section Manager Traffic and Transportation
