Dip and bump in tarmac

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:19, Sat 24 July 2010
Sent to Cambridgeshire County Council less than a minute later

This bump, at the junction of St Andrew's Street and Emmanuel Street, is extremely dangerous for cyclists. I cycled over it a fortnight ago, whilst signalling right and looking around the back of a bus on the other side of the road. Because of the dip, where the road has sunk, just before the bump, I came flying off my bike, and ended up breaking both arms at the elbows.

This really should be repaired as a matter of urgency, before someone else is injured in the same way!

Looks like this patch of road has been dug out and replaced.

Fantastic news -- I'm the original reporter of this problem, and when I moved out of Cambridge last week, it still hadn't been repaired (nor had the Highways department replied to me). Glad to hear it's now sorted -- should help to prevent a few more broken limbs...
