Rubbish on the pavement every day

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later

There is a rubbish bin outside my close door, and it simply acts as a magnet for people to dump rubbish beside it. Within 2 or 3 days of the mess being cleared, it starts again, and it's being going on for months. The only solution is to remove the bin, which was obviously put there to make the street cleaner, but is actually having the opposite effect.

I have attempted to phone the council several times about this, but it is difficult (if not impossible) to speak to anyone who has responsibility for actually removing the bin.

I'm pleased to say that the bin has now been removed and the pavement has been clear of rubbish for the last week. I must thank my SNP councillor Kenny McLean for his efforts on my behalf. (Much less impressive was the response from Lib Dem councillor who still hasn't replied to my letter. They're probably too busy pretending to be in government.)
