On Monday 12th July,I witnessed a Swale Council refuse lorry mounting the pavement at the intersection of Filer Road and Danley Road, leaving a large depression in the tarmac pavement. The depression is between 5 and 6 inches deep.

The problem I reported was fixed fairly quickly. What dismays me is that other potholes in the same road have not been repaired at the same time. About 30 yards away from the site I reported is a large pothole in the middle of the road. This has been steadily getting bigger over the months, but sadly has not been repaired. Surely it would have been more cost effective to have sent out a crew and fixed all the road / pavement problems rather than just the one. It seems like the council only send crews out to fix problems reported on this site. So let’s see if the hole at the Halfway Road end of Danley road now gets repaired as quickly. I am however grateful that my original complaint was dealt with.
