Storm Drain Blocked

Reported by Mr N Haynes at 07:32, Mon 19 July 2010
Sent to Newport Council 3 minutes later

The storm drain situated directly outside 111, Nash Road, Newport is blocked to such an extent that weeds are now growning in the drain. This has been reported on three seprate occasions to Newport City Council over the past 12 months and yet nothing has been done to un block the drain. During the winter there is likely to be flooding if this drain is not cleared.

Problem has still not been fixed. Although an email was recieved from Newport City Council on the 19th July stating that someone would be out to look at the problem with 5 days? Weeds are now growing through the storm drain cover, its becoming a small roadside garden feature!!!!

Its 4 weeks this week that Newport City Council sent me an e mail to say someone would be out to look at the problem. I cannot say if someone has been out to look at it or not, but the problem has not been dealt with and there are weeds growning through the drain cover.
