Extreme litter broken fences

Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category by S Fertang at 09:23, Sat 17 July 2010
Sent to Crawley Borough Council 1 minute later

The entire area of Land occupied by Tescos is full of litter - this is especially true of the hedges and bushes surrounding the area around it's Borders with the school and the footpath between their petrol station and the Gatwick Stream footpath where no fences have been maintained for decades. Tescos really are not behaving as a good neighbour in this respect - one would have hoped that when the council sold our land to them they would have insisted that they keep their many acres in good condition. Interestingly rat poison is placed along some footpaths while half empty food litter is left to milder near by. All very unpleasant. Please put your hands in your pockets Tescos and stop this area going further downhill. At present you can detect a tesco shop from about a kilometre away by number of bags, food waste and trolleys in streams. I have not sent this direct to Tescos as I believe their complaints by email system is broken and that this long standing issue needs to be publicly aired.

Council have said they have no responsibility. Walked same route two days ago and still full of rubbish. I guess we just have to put up with this .
