Speeding Traffic

The Problem is Speeding Traffic, Every Day, We have Drivers testing there cars, rushing to work, rushing home, delivery vans tearing along, motorcycle testing, one day I parked correctly on the roadside only to have a driver shouting at me when I was in the front garden “Cant you move it, its causing an obstruction”, it wasn't but it was slowing the traffic, and yes its a 40mph limit here from Kingsnorth to Shadoxhurst.

The increased speed is causing so much extra noise aswell, we daren't keep a Cat, so many have been flattened on the road I have only had one driver stop to say they found a pet on the road and who's was it, its like drivers have forgotten how to use brakes here.

Then there are the drivers using mobile phones while driving, I counted three in 400yds while driving to my home along our road, and Quad bikers not wearing helmets, cant get there registrations to fast to read.

I have been an I.A.M member for a number of years now and I am a good judge of speed, and I have never seen it so bad a few are well over the national speed limit, they even make the Police going to a call-out look like a snail race. I have always enjoyed speed but there are reasons for speed limits aren't there and places safer to do it.

I have talked to my neighbours but we don't know what to do without causing a genuine obstruction. If you need a driveway for a hidden camera, or speed trap you would be very welcome to use mine, at 45 Tally Ho Rd, and many more will offer, if you could only make some effort we would be grateful, its like this road is out of site of officialdom.

Thank you for this website.

Well no change here then. Still speeding, even the mums driving there children to school are speeding, gets to be a habit in the end.
